Torn apart by a criminal, held together by hope. In a fight for family, fate favours the faithful

meet me on the horizon
If you’re looking for heart-warming, look away now. Sure, there are high point’s in the life of Jessica Wyeman, but don’t be fooled into thinking her life is a love story. Her life has been a lie from the very beginning, cruel and unforgiving. Take her name for example. Jessica Wyeman. The name she gave herself the day she ran away from the family who abducted her. Wyeman. The name she stole from the boy who helped her escape.
Could taking the road you weren’t destined for be the best life you could have, or does it just bring disappointment and heartache? When family is a far-off dream, and true and loyal friendship is the only thing that can carry you through the life you’ve ended up living, what do you do when the world decides you can have one but not the other?
Make sure your heart is ready to be torn in two, as you follow one story across four continents in a search for the impossible.
You might think you’ve reached the end by the middle, but by the end you won’t believe the journey it took to get there.
IN THE MAKING

the us on the mountain
Two lives. Two histories. One unbreakable bond
I was trapped. Inside house and head. I became a menial person while others went on to be great. The men went out to work. They had jobs to do. I lost who I was. My sense of purpose. I was a mum of sorts, but not the mum I wanted to be.
So what did we take from this? What had we learned? That sometimes our instincts are all we have? That the split decisions we make in a moment affect every moment that follows after? Or that our hearts aren’t safe. That the bodies in which our hearts live offer no sanctuary from a love that we were destined to find.
I wanted it to beautiful. In a world that had altered so much I wanted it to look the same. And feel the same and offer respite and tranquility. But it didn’t.

the edge of the falls
Maybe you can hold on for a few hours. But what about the rest of your life? Can you live that close to the edge?
How did we meet? Actually I won her in a radio competition. She'd kill me for saying that of course, but today it won't be her that kills me. But the surgery I'm about to undergo might.
